Dalmore Decades Collection Single Malt Scotch Whisky 750mL
The Dalmore Decades Collection No. 5 is a breathtaking celebration of The Dalmore’s artistry, heritage, and unwavering pursuit of excellence. Limited to just 15 sets globally, this prestigious collection spans five decades—each bottle capturing a defining moment in the brand’s evolution. Each whisky is housed in a handcrafted crystal decanter, topped with a bespoke colored stopper and engraved with a unique set number. The full set is presented in an opulent, fabric-lined display cabinet, complete with five individual plinths, creating a visually stunning tribute to a 180-year legacy.
The journey begins with the 1967 "Expertly Composed Spirit", a 53-year-old whisky laid down in a landmark year. Aged in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, finished in a Graham’s Tawny Port Pipe, and then a Mont-Redon Châteauneuf-du-Pape barrique, it delivers complex notes of clementine, tangy ground coffee, and muscovado sugar. The 1979 "Curating Exquisite Casks", aged for 40 years, showcases the mastery of sherry and port influence with flavors of sultanas, toasted pistachios, maple syrup, and dates, reflecting The Dalmore’s deep relationships with world-class bodegas.
The 1980 "Unbroken Chain of Visionaries" marks the arrival of Master Distiller Richard Paterson and exemplifies layered aging—first in ex-bourbon, then in Matusalem sherry, and finally back to bourbon. This 40-year-old expression exudes bitter chocolate, marzipan, and cocoa powder. The 1995 "The Creation of an Icon" honors the debut of The Dalmore’s now-iconic bottle design. Aged in bourbon casks and finished in Tintilla de Rota port pipes, it bursts with red berries, glazed nectarines, frangipane, and pecan pie.
The final expression, the 2000 "Into the New Millennium", is the first Scotch ever distilled in the new millennium. Aged exclusively in a Matusalem Oloroso sherry butt for 20 years, it offers bold flavors of maraschino cherries, liquorice, tarte Tatin, and bitter chocolate. Together, these five vintages compose a once-in-a-lifetime collection that tells the story of The Dalmore’s past, present, and vision for the future—all encased in a display as rare and distinguished as the whisky itself.
